During an intake call, we will ask questions to determine how we can help you and/or your family.
Location
The Maplewoods Centre for Family Therapy and Child Psychology is located on the University of Guelph campus.
Our address is 50 College Avenue West, Guelph, ON. The entrance to our centre is at the corner of Smith Lane and College Avenue West.
When you arrive, please check in at the reception desk on the main floor. The doors to the main reception area will be straight ahead of you. If the entrance is locked, please buzz reception for entry.
Enter through our front doors facing Smith Lane.
Maplewoods is located at 50 College Avenue West in the Former VMI Building on the University of Guelph campus.
Parking
The nearest parking lot to the Maplewoods Centre is Lot P29, which is the first left off Smith Lane, directly beside our entrance. P29 includes accessible parking spots and Loading/Drop Off spaces (20 minutes max). These are located in front of the Smith Lane entrance.
In P29, there are designated Maplewoods Centre PayByPhone parking spots (2 hours maximum) at a cost of $2.50 per hour, plus a $0.35 transaction fee. Please note, you will need a cellphone and credit card to use the PayByPhone app. Paid parking is required Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm.
Additional parking is available across Smith Lane in Lot P30 (first right off Smith Lane). Please complete our parking registration form before parking in P30.
After 4 pm, parking is free in P29 and P30.
Getting to Maplewoods by Bus
The Maplewoods Centre is located along the following Guelph Transit bus routes:
- 1 Edinburgh College
- 2 College Edinburgh
- 15 College
You can transfer to these routes at the University Centre bus loop. There is a bus stop with a hard surface right in front of the centre on College Avenue West near Smith Lane.

Accessibility
The Maplewoods Centre is committed to providing an accessible experience to clients and visitors.
Our centre has a barrier-free path of travel into and through the building, with no steps at the main entrance. All doorways are wide enough to accommodate a variety of wheelchairs and mobility aids. Exterior doors are powered to open when activated by a pushbutton.
Our elevators allow clients to travel between the clinic’s two floors. Accessible washrooms are located on each floor. Accessible seating is provided in the centre’s public spaces.
In addition to barrier-free services in our on-site clinic, we provide virtual services through teleconference.
