Therapy Groups in Guelph
We offer therapy groups to provide a treatment option that allows our clients and families to learn from and support one another. Joining a group is a great way to learn that other children and families have similar struggles, and that you are not alone!

Families and Feelings First
Researchers at the University of Guelph’s Child Emotion and Mental Health Lab are examining the efficacy of an Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) program called “Families and Feelings First.”
We invite parents of children aged 7-15 years with anxiety, depression, or behavioural challenges to attend six two-hour group sessions of EFFT.
As part of the treatment, you and your child are invited to participate in a study involving questionnaires, physiology measurement, and interactive tasks.
Please email efft@uoguelph.ca or call 519-824-4120, ext. 53059.
This project has been reviewed by the Research Ethics Board for compliance with federal guidelines for research involving human participants (REB #21-10-012CT).
